July 11 – Creative Explorers – Kids Series – Session 1 ‘Young Architects’
3:30 – 4:45 – Students take a kid-friendly tour of the property, learning about different elements of landscape architecture and design at the James Rose Center. As they go, they will collect materials to help create their own model home at the end of the tour! Grades K-4. More Info…

July 12 – Creative Explorers – Kids Series – Session 2 ‘Garden Artists’
3:30pm – 4:45pm – Students explore the paths and plants of the James Rose Center, learning to identify the plants by the shapes, colors and textures. Along the way they will gather materials to make their own paint brushes and end by painting their favorite plant with their self-made paint brush. Grades K-4. More Info…

September 9–October 2 At The Rose House: Green River Project/Object & Thing – Modern and Contemporary Art and Furniture Exhibition
Green River Project LLC and Object & Thing will collaborate on an exhibition of contemporary and 20th century art and design at the James Rose Center. For the exhibition, Green River Project LLC will create a new collection of furniture inspired by Rose’s house and garden. These works will be complemented by the work of artists and designers that reflect a reverence for the natural world, or recognize the 1950s–70s New Jersey art scene. A percentage of sales from the works will benefit The James Rose Center.
